When we have a really, really good friend, we can hang out with them and just chill. Don’t have to have a conversation or do anything huge. Just be yourself and enjoy their company, without the need to entertain them. Sometimes too, when we are worn out, just the closeness of a friend is so good.
I think that we try to prove ourselves to God and “entertain” Him without meaning to do so, sometimes. I mean, maybe He wants us to be still with Him sometimes… just be still and KNOW… nothing else is needed in moments like that.
